Tooth Fillings for Children

Silver amalgam fillings contain mercury and are being phased out worldwide. At Tulip Kids Dental, we use only mercury-free composite fillings for all children. These are safer, better-looking, and require less removal of healthy tooth.

15–30 minutes for most fillings. Sometimes two small fillings are done in one visit. We never rush.

Yes. Small cavities are painless — they only hurt when they reach the nerve, which means the damage is already severe. Treating a small cavity now means a simple 20-minute filling. Waiting means pulp therapy or extraction later.

Usually just one visit per filling. For multiple cavities, we may spread them across 2–3 visits so the child does not get tired or uncomfortable.
